Thousand Oaks, CA 91320-1799
|Description:||The Amgen Foundation awards grants to support science education at the national and local levels. The foundationís funding priorities fall into two main categories:|

ē Pivotal hands-on science experience: programs that provide students and teachers with opportunities for inquiry-based and hands-on learning experiences that significantly impact studentsí excitement about science and scientific careers.
Eligible grantees are qualified nonprofit organizations and may include public elementary and secondary schools, public colleges and universities, and public libraries within the United States and Puerto Rico. Applicants are limited to one grant request per year.

There is a checklist for completing the Letter of Inquiry form. Based on the Letter of Inquiry, an applicant may be invited to submit a full proposal.
