Description:The Grable Foundation is focused on improving the lives of children in southwestern Pennsylvania. The foundation awards grants in the following focus areas: early childhood, school systems, out-of-school time, and community vitality.

The foundation supports rich early childhood learning opportunities in high-quality settings, led by caring and well-trained adults, as well as support for parents to encourage their children’s development. In the area of kindergarten through grade 12 education, the foundation seeks programs that guide the development of teachers and school administrators to create a learning environment where students can experiment, learn, and thrive. The foundation supports out-of-school opportunities to stretch young bodies and eager minds in a fun and safe environment, such as after-school, summer, and mentoring programs. It also supports community resource and cultural institutions, such as playgrounds, museums, libraries, performances, and festivals.
