Description:The Kids in Need Foundation awards grants to grades kindergarten through grade 12 teachers to provide innovative learning opportunities for their students. The purpose of grants is to provide funds for classroom teachers who have innovative, meritorious ideas. Projects that make creative use of common teaching aids, approach the curriculum from an imaginative angle, or tie nontraditional concepts together for the purpose of illustrating commonalities may qualify for funding. The foundation funds projects, not programs; projects are usually not more than a few weeks long, and have a beginning, middle, and end.

Retail and education credit union sponsors fund teacher grants, and approximately 300 to 600 grants are awarded each year.
Eligibility:Public, Private, Charter, Other (including homeschool, 501 (c)(3) organizations)
Award(s):Grants range from $100 to $500 each.
Deadline(s):Applications are due September 30, annually.
