|Description:||The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism helps families affected by autism live life to the fullest through access to services, an active lifestyle, and community based services for adult family members. The foundationís priorities are to meet familiesí needs by ensuring the following: (1) funding for organizations and schools that are providing resources and assisting children with autism spectrum disorder and their families through education and technology, advocacy programs, diagnostic and clinical services, direct family support, and equipment; (2) funding for recreational programs, aquatic programs, social skills training, family events, and summer camps for individuals with autism; and (3) opportunities for job training, vocational skills programs, employment, housing, transportation and health care.|
The foundationís geographic focus includes Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, central Florida, southern California, as well as Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver in Canada. Request for multi-year grants of up to three years are considered. For multi-year requests, applicants must first submit a Letter of Inquiry by email. Applications must be submitted through the online system.
