|Description:||As little as $500 can help a student or youth move “From Failure to Promise” in literacy, mathematics, science, or technology. This grant competition is based on a book by Dr. C. Moorer, who shares his inspirational story of flunking out of college to becoming an engineer, consultant, and eventually a university professor at Dominican University, Illinois. Dr. Moorer’s philanthropic goal is to encourage, mentor, and motivate, energize, and catapult today’s kindergarten through grade 12 students and youth to fulfill their potential and reach their promise in literacy, math, science, or technology.|
To support educators, grants are awarded to community-based organizations, libraries, or schools with creative ideas for adopting and using “From Failure to Promise” in their curriculum. Kindergarten through grade 12 educators and youth-group leaders are encouraged to apply.
